Designing and Manufacturing Out - Tank Electroplating Equipment for Hole-Shaped Details

Abstract

The electroplating technology has been applied inVietnam. However, the applications were found mainly in protective and decorative fields. One of the reasons why it has not been much applied to increase mechanical property and restore detailsresults from a lack of reasonable electroplating equipment, especially for those details which are difficult to plate inside the tank; for example, adjoiningly cast cylinders of internal combustion engines (one of typical hole-shaped details). This paper showed research results on designing and manufacturing out-tank electroplating equipment for axle-shaped details. The equipment had a large capacity of solution circulation and gave stable results of electroplating on samples. The results clearly indicate that the equipment was perfect to electroplate real details in industry
