Policy orientations for vocational training of rural labors

Abstract

Vietnamcurrently possessesagreat numberof rurallaborstotaling of about 35 million labors, accounted for 74% total labor force. However, in fact, there are 82% of these rural labors are not trained yet. Vocational training for rural labors are of importance in terms of economic, social and human considerations for sustainable poverty reduction, building up new rural areas, and for the industrialization and modernization process of  the nation. To achieve it, besides strengthening capacity of the vocational training system, it is also necessary to renew training mechanism. This article proposes some major policy orientations inspuring vocational training for rural labors.
