Evaluate on growth, yield, quality and anti-pestilence capabilities of the import tea varieties at Anh Sơn tea company, Nghe An

Abstract

Nine tea varieties (including introductions and domestically developed ones) were evaluated to select superior genotypes which better adapt to ecological condition of the west mountainous area of Nghe An province. The results showed that exotic tea varieties have poorer growth and leaf yield than the domestic selections, PH1 and LDP1. Among the introduced tea varieties, the TRI 2024 and Keo Am Tich showed better growth and leaf yield. The Keo Am Tich has high quality suitable for green tea processing.
