Effects of Mixing between Multi Functional Organic-Microbial Fertilizer (KC04-04) with Chemical Fertilizer on Yield and Quality

Abstract

This research was conducted to discover effects of multi functional organic - microbial fertilizer KC04-04 on tobacco growth, yield and quality of tobacco grown on degraded, infertile soil in Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province in the 2010 spring season. The treatments were arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 replications. Combined application of 1000 kg multi - functional organic-microbial fertilizer and 50N:140P2O5:210K2O/ha (i.e. treatment 5) increased yield by 15.3% as compared with the control (only NPK). Moreover, tobacco quality criteria, such as chemical composition for tobacco mixing formula, proportion of I + II cure tobacco classes and total smoking point were highly acceptable, suggesting that combined application of multi functional organic-microbial fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer may be efficient for tobacco production.
