Effect of Technical Measures on Potato Seed Production of Aeroponic Derived Planting Materials Grown in Gialam, Hanoi and Sapa, Laocai

Abstract

This research was done to examine the possibility to use plantlets derived from aeroponic propagation for production of basic, disease free potato seed tubers in two  locations: Gialam, Hanoi (2 winter seasons: 2007 and 2008) and Sapa, Laocai (summer-autumn season, 2008). The results showed that the most suitable planting time is in November 15^th for Gialam and in August for Sapa Laocai. A planting density of 20 plantlets/m²  at plantlet age 20 - 25 days after cutting was appropriate
